PRE- DENTISTRY
Roberts Wesleyan College offers a variety of pre-professional programs including pre-dentistry. The pre-dentistry program prepares one to apply for entry into a dental school. Each student will choose a major at Roberts which can be any of the majors that are offered here. Students often choose a science major since a number of science courses are required in the pre-dentistry program. These courses include a year of general chemistry, a year of organic chemistry, a year of physics, a year of general biology and often times a semester of calculus. A student should choose a major based on what one would want to do if he or she did not gain admission to dental school. The program requires hard work and the observation of dental professionals in preparation for applying to the professional schools. Dentistry is a thriving profession and offers many options including working as a general practitioner, a specialist, and or educator. Dr. David Roll serves as the pre-professional health advisor and the college is a member of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions.
