PRE- PHYSICAL
THERAPY
Students in the Pre-Physical Therapy Program typically pursue a B.S. degree with a major in Biology. Students planning a career in medicine (or a related field) may major in Biochemistry, Biology, or Chemistry. Such students need to determine the specific requirements of the professional school or schools to which they plan to make application. They should understand that good scholarship (grade point average of 3.50 or higher) is an important prerequisite to being considered for entrance into professional schools, particularly medical school. oming soon
Students may choose other majors to pursue at RWC while preparing for a career in the health professions.
In order to complete a major and meet the medical college minimum requirements, the student must select
courses carefully, beginning with the freshman year. All students are encouraged to take an introductory
seminar course entitled "Introduction to the Health Professions" in which health professionals will visit
and describe their particular health profession to the class.
