Roberts offers graduating female students
the opportunity to apply for a one year position as a English
language teaching assistant at Osaka Christian College (OCC).
This position places a Roberts graduate at Osaka Christian
College to work as a "liaison" to OCC students and act as an
English tutor. It also is another way that Roberts and OCC
have fostered our sister school relationship.
The Roberts Teaching Assistant is paid a
monthly stipend, lives in an apartment on the OCC campus, receives
national health insurance and access to Japanese language
classes. Duties include being responsible for tutoring OCC
students in English; coordinating the English conversation/American
culture club; teaching English to adults in OCC's continuing
education/community classes program; and helping out in the
International Relations Programs office as needed. Teaching
experience is not necessary, as training is provided, so students
