Traditional Undergraduate Graduation Honors Opportunities

Upon recommendation of the Academic Guidance and Support Committee, by vote of the faculty and approval of the Board of Trustees, the College awards honors at Commencement.

Latin Honors
Traditional Undergraduate students are recognized with Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Summa Cum Laude. In order to be eligible for Latin Honors a student must have completed at least 53 of the last 60 semester hours of their program at RWC. Consideration for these honors is on the basis of the following final GPA:

	Cum Laude - 3.50 - 3.69
	Magna Cum Laude - 3.70 - 3.89
	Summa Cum Laude - 3.90 - 4.00

Recognition of these honors during Commencement ceremonies may be based on the student's grade point average at the end of the previous semester. However, transcript record of such honors is based on the student's final cumulative GPA.

Graduates receiving Latin Honors are given cords identifying the particular level of honor attained.

President's Citation

Upon recommendation of the Awards and Honors Committee, this honor is granted to the graduating traditional undergraduate senior with the highest academic average throughout fours years at Roberts Wesleyan College.

Alpha Kappa Sigma

Election to membership in this honor society of the Association of Free Methodist Educational Institutions is one of the highest honor bestowed by the College. A select group of seniors are elected each year by the faculty of the College on the basis of excellence in scholarship, character, leadership abilities, and extra-curricular activities.

Honors Programs

Each year a select group of incoming students are invited to participate in the Honors Program. The program consists of a combination of core courses, honors electives, and a senior project and thesis. Students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.4 and must complete a minimum of twelve honors courses. They receive an honors diploma and are identified by a white stole at Commencement.
