Roberts Wesleyan College

Chapel

As you might expect, Chapel is an integral part of student life at Roberts.  While Chapel attendance is a requirement, our hope is that students genuinely look forward to the opportunity to gather together in His name to worship Him, enjoy fellowship and grow in grace.  In fact, that is overwhelmingly the case.

Through uplifting music, messages and ministry, Chapel serves as an essential "component" of a student's spiritual formation during their time here at the College.  A variety of activities help to spur the gathering to a deeper understanding of God and His intentions in this world.

And as anyone here will tell you, the lives of Roberts students are better for the experience.

MINISTERING GOD'S LOVE

In our fast paced world we are asked to create space for many things.  In Chapel, we create space for the living Christ to come and meet with us, for:  "It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for." (Eph. 1:9)

We gather together as a spiritual learning community.  We share the challenges and blessings of our daily living and learn how to live and grow in that community.  We use and offer our gifts to God so we might minister his love to one another.

REQUIREMENTS AND RESOURCES

We schedule about 40 Chapel and Faith Integration Friday services per semester, and up to three per week.  Students choose the services which best fit their schedule and spiritual needs, to satisfy the College's requirement of 22 services and at least one per week for a semester.
